Los Angeles Area Sports Teams Pitching In for China Earthquake Relief

Long Beach, CA, May 16, 2008. The Long Beach Armada, a member of the independent professional Golden Baseball League (GBL), announced today that they have received donations from the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Chivas Professional Soccer team, Ducks, the Los Angeles Kings, and the Los Angeles Avengers to augment the Long Beach Armada, Steve Yeager, China Olympic Team, and Jim Lefebvre memorabilia items which will be available in a silent auction at the two Long Beach Aramada vs. China National Team baseball games on Saturday and Sunday nights this weekend.

"We are overwhelmed by the response and generosity of the L.A. area sports teams," said Long Beach Armada President and General Manager Steven Bash. "They have donated valuable signed memorabilia which will add greatly to the funds we are able to raise and donate to the American Red Cross for China Earthquake relief."

Proceeds from tickets sales, both at the games in Long Beach's Historic Blair Field, and from internet TV viewers who can see the game live at www.ibnsports.com will be augmented with auctions items that will include:

- Steve Yeager (manager of the Long Beach Armada) signed Dodger Jersey

- Steve Yeager signed 1981 World Series Baseballs

- China Olympic Team Signed Jersey

- Torii Hunter Signed baseball bat

- Signed baseballs from Los Angeles Angels players Vladimir Guerrero, Ervin Santana, and John Lackey

- 4 Field Level tickets to an upcoming Dodger game

- Autographed hockey stick from the entire 2007-2008 Los Angeles Kings team
