Local Businesses Bring Pink Night to INTRUST Bank Arena

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force announced today that various business throughout the Wichita community have partnered together to bring "Pink Night" to INTRUST Bank Arena on Saturday.

The Force will hold a silent jersey auction for fans to have the opportunity to bid on game worn jerseys. All proceeds will be split directly between the Susan G. Komen and Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.

The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation was established in 1996 in an effort to support women living with cancer through the Look Good Feel Better® program and provide grants to women's shelters and community outreach programs to help end violence against women, according to the group's website.

According to Susan G. Komen's website, the non-profit group is the world's largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer raising more the $2.6 billion since being founded in 1982. The group's efforts have assisted in reducing the death rates from breast cancer by 34% since 1990.

The winning bidder will have the opportunity to pick up his or her jersey, receive an autograph on the jersey, and take a photo with the respective player at the post-game party following the night's game.

All fans are invited to join the Force at the post-game party at The Hungry Heart located directly behind INTRUST Bank Arena at 222 S. Commerce Street. The Hungry Heart is a gastropub that offers delectable foods as well as in-house brewed craft beers.
