Lightning Assign 26 Players to Admirals

TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have assigned 26 players to the Admirals, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Forwards Mike Angelidis, Carter Ashton, Cory Conacher, Philip-Michael Devos, Matt Fornataro, Alex Hutchings, Tyler Johnson, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Eric Neilson, Michel Ouellet, Ondrej Palat, Richard Panik, Alexandre Picard, Trevor Smith, James Wright and J.T. Wyman; defensemen Mark Barberio, Jeff Dimmen, Radko Gudas, Charles Landry, Richard Petiot, Kevin Quick and Mike Vernace; and goaltenders Jaroslav Janus, Pat Nagle and Dustin Tokarski have been assigned to Norfolk.
Angelidis, Ouellet, Petiot, Picard, Smith, Vernace and Wyman have each been placed on waivers by the Lightning for the purpose of being assigned to Norfolk. Defenseman Dan Milan was also reassigned by the Lightning to his junior team, the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Admirals Training Camp will begin this week in St. John's, Newfoundland - including three pre-season contests against the St. John's IceCaps. The first contest will be held on Thursday in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland. The second contest will be held on Friday in Gander, Newfoundland. The Admirals will then wrap up their preseason docket on Sunday at the Mile One Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland, home of the IceCaps.
