League launches text messaging service for 2010
Published on January 21, 2010 under Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) News Release
The Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) is pleased to announce the creation of a new text messaging service for the 2010 season.
The service, which is free (messaging charges may apply), will provide fans with final scores, news alerts, upcoming schedules and more. "This is a great tool for our league and our teams, each of them have already began the process of creating their own service as well," said CIFL commissioner Jeff Spitaleri.
Fans can subscribe to the CIFL text message updates by sending the text message GOCIFL to 41411. Users have the ability to cancel their subscription at anytime and will be provided with the instructions following their subscribing text message.
As the season approaches, a designed schedule for updates will be released by the league in an effort to allow the fans to know what day they will receive certain updates and messages. News alerts will be sent as needed.
The service is compatible with the following wireless networks: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, Virgin, Cricket, Alltel. For more information on the CIFL and the text messaging service, email the league at media@ciflfootball.com.
