Las Vegas Aces Lose To Minot Skyrockets In High Scoring Game
January 5, 2009 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Las Vegas Aces News Release
Las Vegas, NV. The ABA Los Vegas Aces played a hard-fought, high-scoring game against the CBA Minot Skyrockets before going down, 142-127. The Aces were led by former Marquette start Carlton Christian who had 37 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds and 3 steals while the Skyrockets were led by game MVP Ronnie Fields with 29 points and Brandon Smith with 25.
"Our team played well," stated Owner/Coach Todd Triplett, "but the experience of the Minot players was just too much for our young team. We fought hard the entire game and I was particularly pleased with Carlton's all around effort. And Lou Kelly did well too with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks."
