LA's Knight Named SIFL Vidswap.com POTW

LAKE CHARLES, La. (May 6, 2009) - LA Swashbuckler WR Sammy Knight has been named the Southern Indoor Football League's VIDSWAP.COM com player of the week by virtue of his performance and fan vote.
Knight registered two touchdowns - one receiving and one on a 45-yard missed field goal return in the Swashbucklers' 50-14 road victory over the Texas Pirates He received 59 percent of the fan vote to outdistance teammate Freddie Harrison.
For the season, Knight has 10 catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns.
Each SIFL game has four MVPs for offensive, defensive, line and special teams. Two game MVPS are selected for balloting for the league-wide MVP by fans at the official league website at www.southernifl.com.
LA (2-0) travels to Austin (1-1) Saturday while the Acadiana Mudbugs (2-0) host the Houma Conquerors in week four of the SIFL's inaugural season.
