Lancers Look for Three-In-A-Row

(Rochester, NY) ‚¬Â¦ The Rochester Lancers, winners of two in a row will welcome the first place Baltimore Blast to the Blue Cross Arena on Saturday. The Lancers defeated the Syracuse Silver Knights twice in the past week to even their record at 2-2 and move to within striking distance in the Eastern Division race early on.

Rochester's match against Baltimore will take on added significance as the Lancers trail Baltimore and Syracuse by just a half game in the Eastern Division standings. Following their match in Rochester on Saturday, Baltimore will travel down the thruway to face the Silver Knights at the OnCenter in Syracuse on Sunday. Rochester could gain an early season advantage in the divisional race with a win on Saturday . The Blast are 2-1 and come equipped with former Rochester Rhinos Max Ferdinand and Neto as well as the league's Player of the Week, Sagu, who made 32 saves in back-to-back wins last weekend.

Rochester benefitted from a well-balanced attack offensively in Syracuse on Wednesday night as Lubo Kocic, Brayton McNabb, Doug Miller and Mauricio Salles all tallied two goals and four points. Meanwhile goalkeeper Pat Hannigan improved to 2-0 with his 19 save performance in goal.

Individual game tickets are still available and start at $10 for adults, and children age 12 and under receive free entry for every regular season home game. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Blue Cross Arena box office, at most area Ticketmaster locations including the House of Guitars, the Auditorium Theatre and many Walmart stores, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000 to charge by phone.
