
L.A. Women\'s Pro Football Team Hosting First Tryout for 2005

Los Angeles, CA â As the Super Bowl is nearing, another branch of professional football is getting ready to launch its recruitment phase for the 2005 season; The Los Angeles Amazon's Women's professional football team, yes women.
The Amazons are a member of the Women's Professional Football League, which is entering its seventh season of operation and is currently home to 17 additional team's nation wide.
"This is full contact football, played by serious female athletes" stated the team's General Manager, Kay Carter. "You do not need to have football experience, we have an excellent coaching staff that take our recruits through very detailed training, you just need the commitment and the desire" added Carter.
Women from Los Angeles County to the Inland Empire are invited to the team's open tryout on January 22nd at Kelby Park in Covina beginning at 8:30 A.M., with additional tryouts dates and locations to follow.
