The Kokomo Jackrabbits (2-3) rolled over the Chillicothe Paints (2-3) 10-2 on Monday at Kokomo Municipal Stadium after a seven-run rally in the second inning.
The Kokomo Jackrabbits scored in the second on an RBI single by Ryan Hutchinson, a sacrifice fly by Brody Andrews, , a fielder's choice, a solo home run by Lance Mayes, and a two-run double by Clay Benefield.
Mayes racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Kokomo Jackrabbits.
The Chillicothe Paints had no answer for Chris Amato, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Chillicothe Paints managed just one hit off of Amato, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Sean Kiley recorded his first win of the year for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered three hits.
Logan Webb (0-1) took the loss for the Chillicothe Paints. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out none.
