Knoxville's Mark McKeever Named League One Coach of the Month for March

TAMPA, Fla. - USL League One today announced that One Knoxville SC's Mark McKeever has been named the League One Coach of the Month for March 2024. The honor represents the first Coach of the Month recognition for both Knoxville and McKeever - the 2021 USL League Two Coach of the Year with the Des Moines Menace.
"To receive recognition for the work you are doing is always a special feeling, and I am very humbled and honored," McKeever said. "I feel as a coach the reflection is always for the good things the club is doing and more so the players within the club who are representing it to the fullest. I hope the lads see this as their recognition for their tireless, relentless work day in and day out. Cheers to the lads!"
The third-year Knoxville head coach led his side to its best start in club history and to the top of the League One table for the first time with a perfect 3-0-0 March which featured victories against Charlotte, Lexington and South Georgia. Knoxville led the league in wins (3), was tied for the league lead in clean sheets (2) and led all clubs with a +4 goal differential.
Knoxville's three-win stretch to kick off its third season surpassed a 2-1-0 start to its debut 2022 USL League Two season and a 1-2-0 start to its first season as a professional club in 2023. Victories against Charlotte, Lexington and South Georgia - all above the playoff line - were key to Knoxville rising to the top of the League One table. Each of Knoxville's three match-winning goals in March were scored or assisted by midfielder Angelo Kelly-Rosales who reunited with McKeever a season ago after spending time with the coach at USL League Two's Mississippi Brilla FC in 2017.
McKeever was selected as League One's Coach of the Month by the USL League One Technical Committee.
