Ogden Knights News Release
This will be the third meeting between the Western Conference Champs, Wyoming Calvary, and the Ogden Knights.
The Knights are limping into the BYE week with a rash of injuries. Starting quarterback Brendon Doyle is out the next 2-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Maurice Bryant is out indefinitely with a right knee sprain, full back Sepeti Moala is out 2-6 weeks with a knee sprain, Todd Perry, defensive lineman, is out 2-3 weeks with a knee sprain, starting offensive guard , Corey Seiuli is out another 2 weeks with a foot sprain. The Knights are resembling a MASH unit and look to regroup after the Wyoming game for a well needed BYE week. The Knights have plans to bring in some new talent during that week to help them compete in the second half of the season.
With a record of 5-0, the Wyoming Calvary are the defending Western Division Champs and are on current pace to con- tinue that process for 2009. The Calvary continue their ways both offensively and defensively with consistent established person- nel. The veteran coached Ball Club is effective in all areas of the game and again perennial favorites to be in the AIFA Champion- ship Bowl III. The team has only shown signs of strengthening this season and will be a very tough task to upset them at home.
The Knights will turn the ball over to veteran quarterback Jeff Wissler and rely on it's talented receivers to pressure the Calvary into a dogfight. The Knights defense will need to control the Calvary offense and find a way to create turnovers to enable the Knights to upset the Calvary.
