Knights Bring Back All-League Kicker Kennington; Add Moore
November 10, 2009 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Ogden Knights News Release
The Ogden Knights Professional Indoor Football team announced the re-signing of K Bryce Kennington and first time Knight RB Paris Moore to the 2010 roster.
Bryce Kennington came out of his shell during his first professional season and showed people why he is a great kicker. Most people understand that moving from outdoor football to indoor takes a certain skill set. Kennington had that skill set the entire season, even with the much smaller goalposts as his target for the first time.Â
Most indoor teams choose to go for the endzone or the first time more often than not in the arena game, but in Ogden that just wasn't the case. The Knights ranked third in the league in Field Goal Attempts (37) and Kennington took advantage of the opportunity by kicking 22 field goals (third most in the league). His 59.5% field goal percentage earned him the most accurate kicker within the AIFA for field goals, while his solid 85.9% PAT percentage placed him forth in the league.
All together Kennington ranked in the top-5 in six different kicking categories: Field Goal % 59.5% (1st); Field Goals Made 22 (3rd); Field Goals Attempted 37 (3rd); Kick Scoring 121 Points (3rd); PAT's Made 55 (4th); and PAT% 85.9% (4th). All added up to his first all-league honor.
Paris Moore started his indoor career as back up running back in 2005 in Tri-Cities, Washington. Moore totaled 143-yards rushing with seven touchdowns and eventually helping the team win the NIFL National Championship along with head coach Doug Coleman. Â
As a starting running back in 2006 for Fever, Moore had many more touches; 122 Attempts, 586 total rushing yards, 4.2 yards/carry, with 23 touchdowns.Â
To this day Moore is still the all-time leading rushing for the Fever.
Moore took a year off for personal reason but came back ready to play in 2008 where he joined the Arizona Adrenaline and rushed for 148-yards with eight touchdowns, averaging 3.8 yards/carry, on 39 carries. Not only could he rush the ball but tallied 80-yards, on eight receptions, and two touchdowns.
