
Kingfish Sign a Pair of Infielders

Kenosha, Wis. - May 12, 2015. The Kenosha Kingfish have announced the signing of two infielders for the summer. Jeremy Vazquez (University of Florida) and Hunter Alexander (St. Johns River State College) will be joining the Kingfish in 2015.
Vazquez, a 5'11", 205-pound freshman from Palm City, Florida will bolster the Kingfish offense this summer. Vazquez is having a solid season with the Gators. He has a .329 batting average with 11 RBIs and two home runs.
At Martin County High School, Vazquez recorded the highest batting average in school history. He hit .524 and led the team with 37 RBIs and four home runs. He was ranked 27th in the state of Florida and number one among first basemen in the Class of 2014 Final Rankings by Perfect Game.
Alexander, a 6'2", 185-pound redshirt freshman from Green Cove Springs, Florida will also join the Kingfish lineup this summer. Alexander started the 2015 season with the Florida Gators and then transferred to St. Johns River State College to play for the Vikings. Currently with the Vikings, Alexander has a .316 batting average with 38 RBIs and ten home runs.
During his senior year at Clay High School, Alexander was named a 2014 Perfect Game Preseason Florida Region All-High School Senior First Team.
The Kingfish will open the season at home on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:05 pm as they take on the St. Cloud Rox.
