Penn FC News Release
This Saturday the City Islanders will face their Keystone State rivals the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The rematch of last weekend's game will be held at 7:05p.m. at Chartiers Valley High School in Pittsburgh's South Hills.
Last Saturday Harrisburg defeated Pittsburgh 3-0 at City Island's Skyline Sports Complex to remain undefeated at home and improve their record to 2-1-1. Chad Severs scored two first-half goals for the Islanders. Tiyi Shipalane put the game out of reach with a goal in the 59th minute when he finished off a pass from Jason Pelletier. Islander's keeper Chase Harrison maintained a clean slate after 90 minutes of play.
The Islanders will look to defeat the Riverhounds again-this time on the road. The Riverhounds will be without their starting keeper Zach Varga -after he received a red card on Saturday for a tackle in the box against Chad Severs. Islanders Jason Massie will also be unable to play due to his red card after coming on as a substitute in the second half. A win this weekend is crucial not only in terms of pride, but also for USL standings. The Islanders are currently second in USL rankings; however the Riverhounds are just points behind and could tie it up with a win.
The Islanders next home game is Friday, May 22nd at 7:05pm against the Charlotte Eagles. Call (717)441-GOAL or visit www.cityislanders.com to order tickets today! Tickets will also be available at the stadium on game day. See you on the Island!
