Minnesota Swarm News Release
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Swarm is proud to announce that national recording artist Kat Perkins will host an acoustic performance during Ladies Night at The Hive on April 18 at Ho-Chunk Nation Field at Xcel Energy Center. All fans in attendance that evening are welcome to stay in their seats at the conclusion the 7 p.m. Swarm game to enjoy a 30-minute acoustic performance from Kat Perkins, who was a Top 5 finalist on NBC's The Voice in 2014.
"We're excited to welcome Kat Perkins to The Hive in April," said Andy Arlotta, Swarm co-owner and president. "Kat is one of the most popular entertainers in Minnesota, and we're thrilled to give our fans the opportunity to hear her perform live at Xcel Energy Center."
"I couldn't be more excited to be performing right here at home in St. Paul after the Swarm game," Perkins said. "There is always something special about being able to perform here at home, and I hope to see you all there!"
Fans can purchase lower level tickets starting as low as $24 to the April 18 game at Xcel Energy Center; the cost of admission allows fans to see both the Swarm game and Kat Perkins' post-game acoustic performance.
Prior to the game, the Swarm will be hosting their second annual Half-K Race aka "St. Paul's Shortest Race" presented by Coors Light. For $35, participants will receive a lower level ticket, Half-K Race t-shirt, and one free Coors Light at each of the following four locations: Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub, McGovern's Pub, The Liffey Irish Pub, and Burger Moes. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to InSports Foundation; last year's event raised over $3,600 for local cancer research. Registration will open next week at mnswarm.com/promotions and spots are limited to the first 600 registrants.
