MONTREAL - The Montréal Roses can confirm that Anna Karpenko sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear during Sunday's match in Halifax. The injury will end her season and keep her sidelined indefinitely. Karpenko will begin her rehabilitation process in Montreal under the care of the Roses medical staff. The club will provide further updates as appropriate.

"Anna was having a fantastic season. Beyond her contributions on the pitch, she has been with us since our inaugural season and has played a vital role in building our club's identity," said Marinette Pichon, Sporting Director of the Montréal Roses. "She is a true professional, and no one doubts the dedication and work ethic she will bring to her recovery. She remains an integral part of the Roses' future, and we will be right by her side every step of the way as she prepares for her return."

The entire Roses organization stands behind Anna and wishes her a full recovery.
