Kansas City Spartans are Busy
Published on June 30, 2008 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Kansas City, MO. The new expansion ABA Kansas City Spartans are busy. With the announcement just hot off the press, already the Spartans have hired Bryant Tucker as General Manager/Head Coach, gone online with the new website, www.kansascityspartans.com, scheduled the first tryout camp for July 19th from 3-7pm, put together a Kansas City Spartans Open/Celebrity Golf Tournament for August 18th, and are in the interview process for hiring staff. "And if that isn't enough in the first week," stated team owner Milton Thomas, "We're setting up a Back-to-School Rally" for August. After what happened to the previous ABA team here, fans are eager to see what we'll be doing and how we'll do it. I want them to know that we are making a 100% commitment to the community including a strong focus on entrepreneurship and leadership with inner city youth. We need to build the community's trust - and we are going to do just that." Additional information will be published shortly about the Tryout Camp, Golf Tournament and other things.
