
Jones Activated for Sunday's Game

KANSAS CITY, MO - The five-time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have activated defensive specialist Tramain Jones from injured reserve, General Manager/Head Coach Tim Marcum announced today.
Jones, a 6-foot, 190-pound Texas native, suffered a neck injury during the Storm's home opener against the Georgia Force on February 10. Jones has 16 tackles and one pass breakup this season.
A season ago Jones led all Storm defenders with 114 tackles and set a franchise record for stops in a season. The seventh-year man from Angelo State finished third in the league in tackles last season.
Storm rookie WR/DB Leroy Smith has been placed on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain. The Florida State graduate has made two tackles and one pass reception for six yards in two games played this season.
The Storm travel to Kansas City this weekend to play their fourth consecutive Southern Division game against the Brigade (WDAE 620AM, AFL Net www.arenafootball.com). Last Saturday the Storm defeated the previously unbeaten Austin Wranglers at the St. Pete Times Forum, 58-48.
