Please join the Connecticut Whale and New York Riveters in an NWHL matchup as they celebrate the life of Mandi Schwartz, a Yale Women's Hockey player who lost her battle with Leukemia in April 2011. Part of the proceeds from the game will benefit the Mandi Schwartz Foundation .
The NWHL will donate $2 from each ticket to the Mandi Schwartz Foundation.
Mandi Schwartz has special ties to both teams. Bray Ketchum (Yale '11), a forward on the New York Riveters, played with Mandi Schwartz and is also on the board of the Mandi Schwartz Foundation. Tara Tomimoto (Yale '14) and Jamie Leonoff (Yale '15) both play for the Connecticut Whale. Jessica Koizumi, a forward for the Connecticut Whale, is currently the Assistant Coach for the Yale Women's Hockey team.
