It's time to dust off your cleats and get a team together for the 2nd annual
24-HOUR SOCCER MARATHON. The Cleveland City Stars invite you to participate in this important fund-raising event hosted by Ambassadors in Sport.
Play against an AIS team or your own Cleveland City Stars, participate in a clinic with your favorite City Stars players, earn cash prizes, or just come out and have fun all night long!
Here's how it works:
1. PUT A TEAM TOGETHER You and a bunch of your friends can put a team together. Games are one hour and will be 8 v 8. There is no age limit. Anybody can play!
2. PICK A TIME Games are every hour on the hour beginning at 4:00pm on Friday November 14th, with the final time slot being 4:00pm on Saturday November 15th. Stay up all night playing the game you love and supporting a great cause!
3. REGISTER YOUR TEAM Entry fees are $100 per team to play against the Ambassadors in Sport team and $200 per team to play against the 2008 USL-2 Champions, the Cleveland City Stars.
4. RAISE MONEY Teams are also encouraged to get sponsors to help raise money to support the ongoing outreach efforts of both AIS and the City Stars. These programs reach at-risk kids in our own backyard as well as those less fortunate in places as far away as Haiti, Kenya and South Africa. Cash prizes will be given to players raising $150 or more!
5. SIGN UP FOR A CLINIC Learn from the best. Players from the Championship Cleveland City Stars team will run 50 minute clinics. Choose from the Striker, Defender or Goal Keeper clinics or do all three! Clinics are $20 each and space is limited. Sign up today!
6. JUST HAVE FUN Even if you don't play soccer, come out and meet the Cleveland City Stars, hang out with Crocodinho, support your favorite team, make a donation or try a clinic. It's more than just a game, it's a BLAST!
This is a great way to get ready for the indoor season and a great opportunity to get involved in something bigger than the sport. Come out and help us reach out to others, and have a great time doing it.
All games will be played at the Edge Sports Performance Academy on 9550 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg.
