KATY, TX - The Katy Ruff Riders Professional Indoor Football Team announced today that John Granato has agreed to announce Ruff Riders home games on Channel 55 KTBU this season. Channel 55 will be televising all seven Ruff Riders home games from the Merrell Center in Katy.
"We couldn't be more excited about having a Houston sports icon such as John, bring the action of Ruff Riders football to fans on our telecasts," said Ruff Riders Gameday Operations Manager Mike Pede. "John gives us a great presence behind the microphone and a well-recognized voice."
Granato is currently the morning drive-time sports talk show host on Sports Radio 610 AM with Lance Zierlein. The pair kick off the morning with a balance of serious sports talk, hilarious impersonations, comical bits and compelling interviews, and have been together for eight years getting sports fans caught up on all the latest sports news and a little bit of everything else as well.
"I'm looking forward to the opportunity to handle the Ruff Riders television play-by-play duties," said Granato. "The indoor game offers a unique style of football that not many fans here in Houston have seen before, and should be quite entertaining."
