
Johansson Commits to Marian University

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Following a strong season in Wichita Falls, Wildcats defenseman Alfred Johansson has committed to play college hockey at Division III Marian University this fall.
"We are very excited to have Alfred," Sabres assistant coach Tayler Langford said in an email. "We believe with his work ethic, he will be a great college player."
In his first season in Wichita Falls, Johansson skated in 48 contests and posted five points on two goals and three assists. Prior to joining the Wildcats, the 20-year-old defenseman played of the Eastern Kodiaks of the Northern States Hockey League, where he was named the league Most Outstanding Defenseman for 2012-13.
The Sabres compete in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA), and finished the 2013-14 season with a record of 12-13-2.
