JetHawks to Host UAV on April 5th in Exhibition Game

Lancaster, CA - The JetHawks will tune up for the 2015 California League season with an exhibition game against the University of Antelope Valley Pioneers on Tuesday, April 5 at The Hangar. The annual exhibition game between the two teams will be a seven-inning game and is scheduled to begin at 6:35 p.m.
The exhibition game will be the first chance for fans to see new manager Ramon Vazquez and the 2016 JetHawks roster in action before the JetHawks officially kick off the 2016 season on Opening Night, Thursday April 14th against the High Desert Mavericks.
"The JetHawks vs. UAV Pioneers game is always a great way to kick off the season," said Tom Backemeyer, Executive Vice President of the Lancaster JetHawks, "It is a chance to get a preview of the season, and a chance to have baseball back at The Hangar just a little bit early."
UAV, who also play their home games at The Hangar, are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).  The Pioneers are led by head coach Jacob Garsez who is in his first year as manager. The Pioneers are currently 25-9 on the season, including an impressive 11-2 record at home, and 9-3 record in the California Pacific Conference.
Tickets to the exhibition game range from $8-15 and can be purchased in advance at jethawks.com, at the JetHawks box office located at The Hangar or by calling (661) 726-5400. Gates will open one hour before first pitch. JetHawks season ticketholders can stop by and pick up their complimentary tickets in advance at the box office.
