Lancaster JetHawks News Release

(LANCASTER, CA) - The Lancaster JetHawks have announced that they will extend voting on Bobble Head #2 for one week, keeping polls open until Tuesday December 15. The decision comes after only 3 votes separated the 1st and 2nd place vote getters to this point, Brian Golden and Dave Trembley, with Larry Lake not too far behind.

The Bobble Head polls have driven more than 200 people to cast their vote for figurine immortality at jethawks.com in the last week.

"Due to the large voting response the Lancaster JetHawks have expanded all bobble head voting to two weeks," says Director of Promotions Jeremy Castillo the creator of the Hangar Heroes Bobble Head Collection. "We wanted to make sure that we gave each candidate the fairest opportunity possible to win immortality as a JetHawks' bobble head. Therefore all candidates are encouraged to continue their efforts for another week."

Among the candidates in the current poll are MLB Manager Dave Trembley, former National High School Coach of the Year Bud Jones, Founder of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Larry Lake, the original owner of the JetHawks Matt Ellis and Antelope Valley Press sports writer and JetHawks guru, Brian Golden.

Fans are also encouraged to write in who they believe should be a part of future polls as the off season continues.

The 2010 season marks the 15th anniversary of professional baseball in the Antelope Valley, and since its inaugural game in 1996, The Hangar has produced more than 90 Major Leaguers and inducted 25 members into The JetHawks Hall of Fame. Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of 15 years of Hangar Heroes in 2010.
