JetHawks 2008 Team Baseball Card Set Now Available

The Lancaster JetHawks, Class A Affiliate of the World Series champion Boston Red Sox, have released their 2008 team baseball card set. This year the JetHawks have ordered a special expanded set, including 32 cards instead of the regular 30. The baseball cards feature JetHawks players, coaches, and even their lovable mascot, KaBoom. The cards are now available for purchase online or at the JetHawks Gift Store.
"Team baseball card sets are one of the most collectible sports memorabilia items across the country," explains JetHawks General Manager Brad Seymour. "Within hours of getting the cards into stock, we were getting online orders. It's always a big day when the JetHawks baseball cards become available and we're excited to have them here for our fans."
Only a limited number of card sets are available and are often the first professional baseball cards for players likely to become Major League stars. As players from each season's team advance to the Major Leagues, the cards increase in value and demand. In the past year, the JetHawks 2001 card set, featuring Brandon Webb, and the 2005 card set, featuring Stephen Drew, have both sold out.
The 2008 JetHawks team baseball card set includes some of the top prospects in the Boston Red Sox farm system. Featuring first baseman Lars Anderson, rated as one of the top 40 prospects in all of Minor League Baseball by Baseball America, the card set also includes prospects such as slugging catcher Jon Still, right fielder Josh Reddick, shortstop Argenis Diaz, left fielder Reid Engel, and center fielder Jason Place. There are also baseball cards of JetHawks manager Chad Epperson, hitting coach Carlos Febles, pitching coach Chuck Smith, trainer Jon Jochim, and JetHawks mascot KaBoom.
The JetHawks continue its current homestand tonight against Stockton, featuring a post-game fireworks extravaganza. Tomorrow's 5 PM contest features a travel bag giveaway to the first 1,000 adults. Tickets may be purchased by calling 661.726.5400 or on-line at www.JetHawks.com.
