Jersey Auction Raises $76,200 for CMN

The annual Children's Miracle Network "Jersey Off Our Back" auction was held on Saturday, February 17 following the Wildcats 4-3 win over the visiting Santa Fe Roadrunners. This year the Wildcats organization, with the help of their generous fans will be donating $76,200 to the Children's Miracle Network. This money will purchase new hospital equipment which will be used to treat sick children right here in Texoma. The highlight of the night was definitely the bidding war over the jersey worn by the Wildcats mascot, Craze E. Cat. Craze E. Cats jersey was purchased for $18,000, smashing the previous record for a CMN jersey of $10,000. The previous record holder, Thomas "Choo-choo" Billick's jersey sold for $10,000 again this season, matching the amount his jersey sold for at last year's event. Other jerseys of note were Adam Cardwell's jersey which sold for $5,000 while Cal Heeter's went for $4,500.

Wildcats Business Manager, Jason Hynd says full credit goes to the Wildcats faithful. "We are so proud to be able to contribute to the Children's Miracle Network, but the credit should go to our fans. Without their generosity, year after year, it would not be possible. This year's record amount of over $76,000 is unbelievable, and just goes to show how much our fans care about helping the sick Children in our community."
