Jason Smith Named CBL Player of the Week
June 16, 2011 - Continental Basketball League (CBL) News Release
The Birmingham Sabers guard, Jason Smith is the CBL player of the Week for June 6 - June 12, 2011. Smith is a native of Hoover, AL where he attended Hoover High School. He is a 6'0" guard that attended the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH). He was the leading scorer Sabers games on 6/5/11 and 6/10/11 where is scored 31 and 28 respectively.
On Friday, June 10th, Jason again led the Sabers to a win against the Florida Flight with 28 points and 13 assists. Jason is a leader on and off the court where he currently works alongside his brother Joe Smith, who plays in Israel, at various professional basketball players camps across the country. He also assists his brother with the Joe Smith Camp each year in Birmingham, AL. Jason Smith has also played basketball overseas in several countries where he led his teams in assists and points.
