A late equalizer and a solid defensive showing in the home opener earned a pair of FC Tucson defenders USL League One Team of the Week honors for week three.
Jacob Crull and Tarn Weir were selected to the team after their impressive performances on Saturday.
Crull notched his first USL League One professional goal in the 81st minute of the match to secure a draw for the club. He also had a 86% passing accuracy, completed 81 short passes and 6 long passes. It was Crull's second goal in as many games after his goal in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup second round game last week against the Las Vegas Lights.
Weir had a 86% passing accuracy in Saturday's match and also won three of three tackles, made two clearances, two interceptions and won seven ground duels.
FC Tucson hosts NISA's Cal United Strikers in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.
The club returns to USL League One play when it travels to Tennessee to play Chattanooga Red Wolves on Saturday. American Eat Co. & Market Bar will be hosting a watch party for all fans.
