The Jackson Senators handed Shreveport their fifth straight loss in a 9-3 victory over the Sports at Fair Grounds Field Saturday.

The Senators jumped on Shreveport starter Neomar Flores for a run in the first and three more in the second inning. Flores entered the game having not allowed an earned run over the last 25 2/3 innings. After Jackson scored another run in the fifth, the Sports came back and scored three in the bottom of the sixth inning on RBI's by Mike Willis and Hector Lebron. Wills extended his hitting streak to eight games, the longest this season for the Sports. However, Jackson put the game away with four runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Jackson starter Bo Edmiston had a no-hitter through five innings before the Sports Dalphie Correa led off the sixth inning with a single to left. Edmiston picked up his first win of the season.

Shreveport and Jackson will meet in the third game of the four-game series Sunday at 2:05 at Fair Grounds Field.
