Jackson Assigned from Bridgeport; Arnold Called Up

Defenseman Dallas Jackson has been assigned to the Gladiators from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. In a separate transaction, Scott Arnold has been re-assigned to the Portland Pirates of the AHL by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.

Jackson has skated in 21 games with the Sound Tigers and registered three assists. While with the Gladiators, the Edson, Alberta native collected 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 31 games before he was called up on December 29th to the AHL.

Last season, Jackson tallied a combined 30 points in 67 games with three different teams in the ECHL and AHL. While with the Gladiators, he collected 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 62 ECHL games. He split time in the AHL with Bridgeport and Lake Erie.

Arnold has skated in eight games with the Pirates this season and has collected two assists. He began the season in Portland before he was assigned to Gwinnett on December 19th. Arnold was called up to Portland on January 11th, but did not see any AHL action before he was re-assigned to Gwinnett on January 19th.

The Montreal, Quebec native skated in 32 regular season games with Gwinnett and has earned 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists). In two playoff games with the Gladiators, the rookie forward has collected one goal and one assist and a +1 plus/minus rating.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
