
It\'s a Woman for Arena Team Tryouts

Southwest Michigan Jaguars News Release
Otsego, Mich. â The Southwest Michigan Jaguars are pleased to announce that one of their players is trying out for a male Arena football team. The Jaguars are one of the 37 teams in The National Women's Football Association.
The Grand Rapids Rampage (2001 Arena Football Champions) are hosting a tryout and have invited the Southwest Michigan Jaguars Running Back Angela Edwards to participate. The tryout will be held December 6, 2003 from 8:00 a.m. â 1:30. This will be the first time a woman has tried out for an Arena team in Michigan.

Jaguar Owner's Pam Mc Queer and Roman Gabriel "Are excited for this opportunity for Angela Edwards and believe she will not only represent the Jaguars well but she is one of many players on the Jaguar team that are very skilled athletes, she will make a positive statement for the NWFA as well."
The Southwest Michigan Jaguars will host a tryout following the Rampage tryout that day for positions open for the 2004 season. The tryouts will be held at the Soccer Spot
Located at 3701 32nd Street SE located between the corner of Lake Eastbrook Blvd. And 32nd Street in Kentwood, MI. Registration begins at 2:00
The NWFA is the largest tackle football league in the world with 37 teams in 23 states. The league wrapped up its 2003 season with the National women's Football Championship Game that was held at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee in front of 5,726 fans. The 2004 season will begin April 3.
