Penn FC News Release
It's the Isles versus the MLS once again this Tuesday at home.
The Harrisburg City Islanders will host Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer (MLS) in an exhibition match this Tuesday, July 27, at Skyline Sports Complex on City Island in downtown Harrisburg. All tickets are general admission and only $15!
The Philadelphia Union are the official MLS affiliate to the City Islanders and this will be the first meeting of the teams. The Union began this year as the 16th team in the MLS and they became Harrisburg's soccer partner soon after. An annual exhibition in Harrisburg is part of that affiliation. The match is set to be a clash between two highly-competitive teams. The Philadelphia Union are expected to bring their full roster. The Islanders have had great success against MLS teams in the past few years. In the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Harrisburg took down New England Revolution. And recently, in the 2010 US Open Cup, the Islanders defeated New York Red Bulls 1-0 in an intense overtime match at Skyline. There is no doubt Harrisburg is capable of taking on the MLS, and the Islanders seem prepared for the Union.
This is a clash you don't want to miss! All tickets for the match, both youth and adult, will be $15 general admission and are on sale now. Ages 3 and under are free. City Islanders Academy pro passes and all other special ticket offers are not valid for this match. The match kicks-off at 7pm this Tuesday, July 27, and gates open at 5:30pm. It's encouraged to inquire about admission early because tickets are limited. Tickets can be purchased by calling 717-441-GOAL or by visiting the City Islanders official website at www.cityislanders.com
