Ironmen Dance Team Announces Audition Dates

Newark, N.J. (Monday, August 11, 2008) - Amid preparations for the upcoming season, the New Jersey Ironmen Dance Team publicly announces that auditions for the 2008-09 squad have been set for Monday, September 8, at Prudential Center. Those selected from the tryouts will perform at every Ironmen home game as well as representing the dance team at numerous promotional appearances throughout the forthcoming year.
"We are looking for the overall package- women who are energetic, athletic, smart, and most importantly, share a passion for dancing and performing," Ironmen Dance Team Director Jacqueline Ritchie commented. "My advice to participants is to come to auditions feeling prepared and confident. Be yourself, have fun and you will do just fine!"
Dance team hopefuls will need to enter auditions through the box office entrance at Prudential Center (located at the corner of Edison Street and Mulberry Street). Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. Dancers are required to be 18 years of age or older and must bring identification with them. Technical dance training is preferred, and participants should wear proper dance attire with hair and makeup performance-ready. All entrants must also submit a non-returnable photo and resume.
Pre-registration for auditions is free (click here for registration packet), and there will be a $15 fee for anyone who fills out paperwork on-site the day of the tryouts. Those selected may not be members of another professional dance team during the Ironmen season, and auditions will be closed to the general public.

The New Jersey Ironmen are currently underway in their inaugural summer camp programming. Camps are conducted by the Ironmen coaching staff and players, offering participants the rare experience of learning directly from the pros. All players also receive a t-shirt, soccer ball and a ticket to the 2008-09 New Jersey Ironmen home opener at Prudential Center this fall.
