Inter Toronto FC Signs 17-Year-Old Full-Back Nicolas Andrada to Development Contract

TORONTO, ON - Inter Toronto Football Club announced Saturday that 17-year-old full-back Nicolas Andrada has signed a Development Contract with the First Team after progressing through the Inter Toronto Pathway Academy.
Andrada will be available for selection when Inter Toronto visits Pacific FC on Saturday, August 8 at 5 p.m. ET at Starlight Stadium.
The native of Toronto joined the Inter Toronto Pathway through the tryout process ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season. He had previous experience in both Canada and Argentina, including time within the academy environment at Argentinos Juniors.
Andrada has continued to develop during his time within the Inter Toronto Pathway. The right-footed defender brings pace, intensity and is capable of playing on either side of the back line. His consistent performances and competitive approach have helped him earn the opportunity to take the next step within the club's development structure to the First Team.
A player signed to a Development Contract must be a Domestic Under-18 Player, born Jan 1, 2007 or later, and is eligible to make four (4) appearances for a CPL Club while maintaining his amateur status and ability to train and play with the amateur team that holds his registration. There is no time limit for completion of these games.
Andrada's Development Contract provides another example of the direct route available from the Inter Toronto Pathway to the professional game.
