Published on August 13, 2020 under United Soccer League Championship (USL) News Release
TAMPA, Fla. - Indy Eleven forward Tyler Pasher has been voted the USL Championship's Player of the Month for July after recording six goals in six games to start the 2020 season across March and July to lead Indy to the most points in the Championship after the first full month of the season.
Pasher moved into an attacking role for Indy at the start of the 2019 season and acclimated quickly, becoming the club's leading scorer with 13 goals as it reached the Eastern Conference Final of the 2019 USL Championship Playoffs. The Canadian continued to grow in his new position to start the 2020 season, scoring in the first five games of the season for the Boys in Blue while averaging a goal every 75 minutes through the end of July.
Pasher received 42 percent of a weighted poll that included the USL Championship Technical Committee, a national panel of independent media representing every USL market and an online fan vote held at USLChampionship.com. Phoenix Rising FC's Solomon Asante finished second on 31 percent after recording three goals and three assists in four games, while Birmingham Legion FC's Bruno Lapa finished third on 26 percent after recording three goals and two assists in his first three games in the professional ranks.
