IMG's Jarod Stigall Joining VSI Tampa Bay FC

Tampa, Fla - After a stellar season with the 2012 IMG Academy PDL team, Jarod Stigall joins the ranks of VSI Tampa Bay FC for their debut season in the USL PRO. Stigall, a versatile midfielder, dominates the middle of the pitch with the use of both feet.

Stigall, a Dallas native and University of Denver graduate, had a remarkable 2012 season as a member of the IMG Academy PDL team and was featured on FOX Soccer's "˜We Live Soccer' for his efforts. Remarked IMG Academy PDL head coach Scott Dean of Stigall's new opportunity, "Jarod is a very dynamic player who brings to the game great vision and the ability to pass a ball over 40 yards with accuracy, as good as any player. It is exciting to see him progress from one stage to the next in his professional career."

Director of Soccer, Clay Roberts, was pleased with Stigall joining and said, "We are thrilled to bring Jarod on board with us this year. He is an exciting young talent with extreme technical ability and vision of the field. IMG Academy will be thrilled to see one of its own come up in their development system and now sign his first professional contract. We are looking for Jarod to develop in Coach Weston's system and really push for minutes from the beginning. Jarod is calm on the ball fitting our possession-based style of play nicely, and I know the veterans will appreciate his creativity and composure in the midfield."

VSI Tampa Bay FC Head Coach Matt Weston said, "As a product of the IMG Academy, Jarod has been schooled well in the game and comes to VSI Tampa Bay FC with the qualities that we are looking for in the club on and off the field. Jarod is gifted with both feet and a player of high technical ability that gives him the capability to move easily from the PDL to professional level".
