Ime Udoka Signs with Lakers

MILFORD, CT - The United States Basketball League, Inc. has had its third alumni from the 2003 Season sign with an NBA team when Ime Udoka recently signed a contract with the LA Lakers. Terms of the contract were undisclosed as per team policy. Udoka, who played his college ball at Portland State, was a force for the Adirondack Wildcats this season.

In 15 games, averaged 19.4 points, good for 6th overall in the USBL, and 9.2 rebounds, good for 7th overall in the USBL, for the Wildcats.

"Ime was a valuable part of our team this season and one of the main reasons we had the success we did this season. When the NBA season starts in October, I expect to see Ime on the Lakers roster, " stated Wildcat GM Mike Sweet.

"Ime is another product of a successful USBL Season. Our best wishes go out to Ime as he tries to make the jump to the NBA. We have all the confidence in his abilities and expect to see him on the floor for the Lakers, " stated USBL Founder and Commissioner Daniel T. Meisenheimer III.
