Ice Edge Fire in Overtime Thriller

Annapolis, MD - Expectations were high leading into the 2019 MLL All-Star Game with the forty best lacrosse players in the world taking the field in Annapolis, Maryland. The game certainly didn't disappoint with Team Ice besting Team Fire 16-15 in overtime.

Brendan Sunday of the Atlanta Blaze scored the game winner in overtime while Dylan Molloy of the New York Lizards was named New Balance Player of the Game.

Team Ice used a strong fourth quarter to get back in the game, outscoring Team Fire 4-1 in the fourth.

In overtime, Sunday beat Nick Marrocco to give Team Ice the win. Sunday, a rookie, looked like a vetaran Saturday evening, scoring four goals and adding an assist on the night.

Team Ice held a big advantage at the face-off dot with Max Adler and Kevin Reisman combining to go 20-32. Chesapeake Bayhawks goalie Niko Amato kept Team Ice in the game in the second half stopping 11 of the 17 shots he faced.

Game MVP Dylan Molloy scored a spectacular five goals in a six point evening. As the MVP, Molloy is the recipient of $10,000 courtesy of New Balance.

The Major League Lacrosse season continues next weekend with four games on the slate. Teams will be looking to keep the momentum going after yet another successful MLL All-Star Game.
