The Burlington Twins held the Ottawa Fat Cats to just one hit en route to their second straight victory, a 5-0 win in one of three games played in the Intercounty Baseball League on Saturday.

Matthew St. Kitts was the winner for the Twins (6-9), allowing only a double to Jason Coker in the sixth inning. He walked two and struck out seven in the win. Jeff Davis earned the save, pitching two hitless and scoreless innings for Burlington.

Peter Bako and Branson Joseph led the Twins with a pair of hits and a pair of RBI's each, while Ryan Asis singled and drove in a run. Greg Densem chipped in with the other Burlington hit.

Starter Eric Boisvert suffered the loss for the Fat Cats, allowing five hits and four earned runs with five walks and six strikeouts over seven innings pitched.

Ottawa Fat Cats 11; London Majors 4

The Fat Cats bounced back from their matinee loss in Burlington to drop the London Majors 11-4 at Labatt Park.

Matt Hummel was the winner for the Fat Cats (10-11), allowing eight hits and three earned runs with two walks and five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings.

Eitan Maoz singled and doubled, finishing with three RBI and two run scored while Cody Mombourquette was 3-for-5 on the night with a pair of singles and a double, with a run scored and an RBI. Jason Coker had three hits and a run scored, while Brandon Huffman singled, doubled, drove in a pair of runs and came in to score. LaDale Hayes and Matt McGovern had a pair of hits and a run scored apiece, with Hayes adding an RBI. Wade Wilson and Kevin Dietrich each singled and drove in a pair of runs with one and two runs scored, respectively. Mark Charette chipped in with a hit and a run scored.

Starter Jordi Amargos was handed the loss for the Majors (10-6), giving up eight hits and five earned runs with two walks and five strikeouts over six innings.

Alan Cattrysse and Chris Stewart each had a three hit night, while Stewart added an RBI and a run scored. Derrick Strazalkswiski singled twice and drove in a run while Byron Reichstein and Chris Chambers each singled and added an RBI. Cleveland Brownlee, Paul LaMantia and Adwin Springer singled and scored, and Tyler Graham rounded things out for London with a single.

Guelph Royals 5; Barrie Baycats 3

In Guelph, the Royals rebounded nicely from a shutout loss to the Burlington Twins yesterday as they dropped the Barrie Baycats 5-3 at David E. Hastings Stadium.

David Hatt picked up the win, pitching a complete game and allowing just seven hits and three earned runs with one walk and four strikeouts.

Sean Reilly led the Royals (9-9) with a homerun and two singles, finishing with three RBI and a run scored. Jeremy Ware also homered and added a single, with one RBI and a pair of runs scored. Frankie Hare notched a pair of hits while Mark Allen had a hit and an RBI. Josh Garton singled and Tyler Wheeler rounded things out with a hit and a pair of runs scored.

Starter Ryan Dillabough took the loss for the Barrie (11-7), allowing seven runs and four earned runs with three walks and one strikeout over six innings.

Jeff Cowan had a pair of hits, two RBI and a run scored for the Baycats, while Ryan Spataro had a pair of hits and a run scored. Kyle DeGrace singled and scored while Mike Reeves and Matt Richardson added singles. Kevin Atkinson added an RBI in the loss.
