IBL All Stars Look Forward to 2012

Portland, OR August 19, 2011 - The International Basketball League (IBL), in it's eight season, will return to it's original niche in professional basketball as a Spring/Summer professional league focusing on player development and high energy international competition.
"The IBL was created to offer a place for professional players to showcase their talents, stay in shape and see international competition during the late spring and summer months when the fall overseas play has concluded and the NBA is winding up. This year will be unique with the NBA lockout, however the NBDL is a go and we look forward to watching from the sidelines, welcoming current or former athletes from either league to be a part of the IBL," new Commissioner Sharleen Graf stated, adding, "Our team owners, current All Stars and fans are looking forward to the next phase of the IBL in 2012. Strong ownership and talent will drive our season, providing competition in an affordable family friendly environment."
Before stepping down former Commissioner and IBL founder Mikal Dulio worked closely with the IBL teams to chose the final All Stars for the 2011 season, a group of talented athletes, some of whom have just returned from showcasing their talents in Japan with the goal of earning spots in leagues overseas.
"The IBL gave me the opportunity to show what I could do on the court with the BC Titans, providing the stats and film I needed to get noticed," Lawrence Blacklege, the 6'8" forward from Marquette shared regarding his path to becoming an IBL All Star, elaborating, "Playing in the BJ League in Japan in 2010-2011, the competition was great, then returning to the IBL to win the Championship with the Volcanoes was icing on the cake, real team work. I'm ready to get back to Japan this winter to take the title there too."
