Houston Leaves LSFL
Amarillo, TX. 06/05/12: The Amarillo Venom has been authorized to announce that the Houston Stallions will not be completing the LSFL 2012 season. Houston's General Manager and staff recently resigned leaving the organization in a financial and operational difficulty. The team would not be able to successfully continue play without jeopardizing the long term future of the organization.
Venom Owner and General Manager Stephanie Tucker stated, "We are sad to see our friends from Houston go and wish them the best of luck next season." "The Venom is taking this change with a positive attitude. Not only for the team but for our fans, this change in the schedule will make for an exciting arena experience as we go for our final playoff push."
Due to Houston's resignation there will be the following effects to the Venom Schedule and the schedule of other teams in the Lone Star Football League.
LSFL will issue an official announcement in the coming days as the legal issues are finalized
The players on the Houston Team will be immediately released and become free agents. These players will have the opportunity to join other teams in the league. 48 hours after the official league announcement the players are eligible to be signed.
All teams that have played Houston will have that game removed from the official standing as if not played.
The Amarillo Venom is considering possible players from the Houston team, but has not made any changes to the roster currently.
The biggest announcement that is included in this change of events is the Amarillo Venom schedule. The following schedule will take effect immediately. Amarillo Venom is excited and looks forward to embracing this schedule as they push for playoffs!

Saturday June 16th Amarillo Venom vs. Abilene Rough Riders
Monday June 25th Away Game vs. Corpus Christi
Saturday June 30th Away Game vs. Abilene Rough Riders
Saturday July 7th Amarillo Venom vs. West Texas Rough Necks
July 14th 1st round of Playoff's
July 21st Championship game in San Angelo Texas
