
Houston Gets Some New Energy as New OwnersTake theReigns

Houston, TX - The Houston Energy is probably one of the most successful franchises in the history of women's professional football, but sometimes even good things necessitate change.
Robin Howington, founder and owner of the three time Champion Houston Energy, announced that she has sold the team, to two former Houston Energy Players; Karen Mones and Stacy Agee.
"For me, it was something I truly needed to do. My other business is just not allowing me the time needed to commit to the team". Stated Howington "The Energy is in very capable, confident hands" continued Howington.
Howington plans to stay on as the General Manager for the 2004 season to assist in the transition.
Both new owners have a great deal of women's football experience, as well as business experience.
"We are looking forward to bringing a new look to the league and the Energy, and are excited about trying to regain our title" Said Co Owner Stacy Agee. "We are putting in a lot of hard work on the business side and hopefully it will pay off on the field" Agee added.
"The league can expect to see new things from us and a new Energy from our players and coaches" Said co-owner Karen Mones
The Houston Energy kicks off their season with the WPFL July 31st.
