Hominuck to Rock

Edmonton, AB--Edmonton Rush General Manager/Head Coach Derek Keenan announced today that the club has traded forward Mike Hominuck to the Toronto Rock in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2009 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

Hominuck finished third on the team in scoring last season with 15 goals and 32 assists for 47 points. The Welland, ON, native tied for the team-lead with 13 power-play assists and he also collected 47 loose balls.

In 2008, Hominuck was Edmonton's leading scorer after coming to the Rush midway through the season in a trade with the Minnesota Swarm. The five-year veteran ended the campaign with 21 goals and 33 assists for 54 points - with 16 goals and 17 assists coming in nine games with Edmonton.
