Chillicothe Paints News Release
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - For the second time in as many nights, Gavin Homer hit a home run. Saturday night at Bob Warn Field, it was a three-run home run, providing the visiting team with all the runs they needed, as the Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, beat the REX 3-2, running their win streak to 11 games.
Jack Raines (2-1) made his fourth start of the season and allowed just two runs on a pair of hits, walking three and striking out five, earning his second win of the season. He didn't allow those two runs until the seventh.
Mitch Milheim got the final out in the seventh and Nate Haugh retired all six batters he faced in the eight and ninth innings, earning his Prospect League-leading fifth save of the season.
The Paints continue their road trip in Normal, Illinois, Sunday with a 7:35 p.m. (Eastern) start against the CornBelters.
