Denson, who is also Head Baseball Coach at Belhaven College in Jackson, has more than 30 years of high school and collegiate coaching experience.

"I am extremely excited to be a part of the Senators organization," said Denson. "I would like to thank not only the Senators for this great opportunity, but also Belhaven College as I will continue my head coaching duties with the Blazers."

He has compiled a career record of 790-588-2, including a 574-515-2 collegiate coaching mark. Denson's coaching career also includes 14 seasons at the helm of the University of Southern Mississippi baseball program (1984-1997), where he helped establish USM as a nationally recognized baseball power. While at USM, Denson had 35 players signed to professional baseball contracts. Prior to his tenure at USM, Denson served as an assistant baseball coach at Vanderbilt University.

Senators Vice President and General Manager Craig Brasfield said, "Hill has had an outstanding college career, as his record indicates, and we believe he will continue his success at the professional level. We also feel his local ties to the area will be very beneficial in leading us into the future."

A native of Bay Springs, Mississippi, Denson is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Science Education. He received his Master's degree in School Administration from Mississippi College. Denson and his wife, Judy Moon-Denson, reside in Jackson.
