
Harrisburg's Shellenberger Named to Team of the Week

Harrisburg, PA â A solid defensive effort and an assist have helped Harrisburg City Islanders backliner Pete Shellenberger to a spot on the Pro Soccer League Team of the Week, it has been announced.
Shellenberger played insistent defense for 90 minutes this past Saturday, May 22, in Harrisburg's 3-1 loss at home to the Wilmington Hammerheads. Additionally, the 25-year-old recorded the assist on the Islanders' lone score in the game, from forward Seamus Donnelly in the 30th minute.
The product of Manheim Township High School and Penn State University becomes the eighth different Harrisburg player to earn weekly honors this season. He joins Derek Potteiger and David Schofield (Week 1 - April 20), Keith Costigan and Matt Shealer (Week 3 - May 4), Dave Kern and Steve Fisher (Week 4 - May 11), and John Lapore (Week 5 â May 18). The Islanders have placed at least one player on the Team of the Week after each of their active weekends.
