Guelph Nighthawks News Release

Guelph, ON - At 1pm this afternoon single game tickets for the Guelph Nighthawks 2022 Canadian Elite Basketball League season were officially released and made available for purchase through Ticketmaster at: https://am.ticketmaster.com/nighthawks/buy. Single game tickets start at just $25, inclusive of taxes and fees, while Courtside seats start at $65 for the Nighthawks 2022 season.

To kick off single game tickets being on sale, each fan who purchases a ticket today will be automatically entered to win one of three customized replica jerseys of CEBL All-Star Cat Barber. Barber, who earlier this month announced his re-signing with Guelph for the 2022 season, has showcased himself as one of the top talents in the NBA G-League this year, recently coming off a 10-day contract with the NBA's Atlanta Hawks.

The Nighthawks remain committed to providing affordable access to the best professional basketball in Canada outside of the NBA. In 2022 more than 50% of the seating inventory for single game tickets is priced at $25, while 80% of the seating inventory for single game tickets is priced at $35 and under, inclusive of taxes and fees. For a professional sport experience like no other, Courtside seats start at just $65.00, with front row Courtside seats starting at $95.00 per game.

In 2022 the Nighthawks return to a traditional 20-game CEBL season, and with COVID restrictions easing, an arena full of fans at the Sleeman Centre for the first time since 2019.

"As we prepare for the full-scale return of Nighthawks fans this summer, fans can also expect a return back to the game day experience that separated the club from other teams and leagues in 2019. The McDonald's 'Hawks Nest Family Zone will return with player autograph stations, selfie stations, face painting, confectionery stands, and other family activities. The court level Baseline Social Bar will ramp up in 2022 in collaboration with Wellington Brewery. The bar will feature a new Nighthawks x Wellington Brewery collaborative lager while providing one of the more unique publicly accessible courtside bars in professional basketball. Game day production will be enhanced as we look to elevate the standard that was set in 2019. Without giving too much away, let's just say the home opener will be a production the likes of which we haven't previously seen in Guelph," said team President Cameron Kusch.

One of the hottest tickets of the season will be the Nighthawks home opener on May 26th at the Sleeman Centre against the expansion Scarborough Shooting Stars. The 2022 schedule will see all nine CEBL teams play at the Sleeman Centre this upcoming season. Guelph will host the expansion Montreal Alliance twice on June 11th and July 13th, while the Newfoundland Growlers will make their lone trip to the Sleeman Centre on June 14th. Other schedule highlights include the Nighthawks first Father's Day home game on June 19th, an afternoon tip-off against the rival Hamilton Honey Badgers.

The Nighthawks tip-off their 4th CEBL season starting May 26th, as the club will play a 20-game regular season over 64 days in pursuit of the 2022 CEBL Championship Trophy. The regular season will lead into the CEBL playoffs, which will ultimately determine the top four teams to qualify for Championship Weekend in Ottawa from August 12-14.
