Norwich, CT - Riley Greene went 3-for-6 with four RBI and a home run to help power the Connecticut Tigers (14-16) to a 14-10 win over the Tri-City ValleyCats (12-17). Greene hit his first career New York-Penn League home run at Dodd Stadium.
Zach Biermann got the ValleyCats on the board in the first inning with a three-run home run to make it 3-0.
After stranding the bases loaded in the first, the Tigers found the bats in the second. Gresuan Silverio got the scoring started coming in on a wild pitch from Derek West (Loss, 0-1) to make it 3-1. Greene delivered his first two RBIs with a two-RBI single to right field to tie the game at 3-3.
On a stolen base by Greene heading to second, the throw got away from the second baseman and allowed Ryan Kreidler to score and give the Tigers the lead. Kona Quiggle and Jordan Verdon each delivered an RBI single in the inning to push the lead to 6-3.
