DENVER - In March, Colorado Mammoth forward John Grant, Jr. passed Colin Doyle to move into second in NLL history in career points. On Friday night at Pepsi Center, Grant passed Gary Gait for second in career goals with 636. The record-setter came in the third quarter against the Rochester Knighthawks, his former team.
"Gary was my idol growing up so I don't really like passing him in anything, but it means I'm still helping the team so that's good," said Colorado's captain.
History was made on the third of three straight Mammoth goals scored by Grant.
Colorado has already secured a top-two seed in the West Division and a home playoff game.
