Visalia Rawhide News Release

Visalia, CA--Were you there when pitcher Jordan Norberto squirted his pitching coach with milk during the player cow-milking contest on Sunday? If you weren't, you sure missed a belly ache of a laugh!

"This season's pre-game cow-milking contest was so popular among the players that we had to develop a "tag-team" strategy that would allow everyone to participate who wanted to be included." Jennifer Pendergraft said, the Rawhide's coordinator of the promotion.

"The guys really got into it," Pendergraft continued; "they even came up with team names: ‘Bend and Snap' and ‘El Mejor' (the best)."

And the winner? Final fluid ounces were never measured because Jordan Norberto turned up his milk pail and drank the evidence. "We claimed him the winner. There wasn't even a bet involved. He just tipped up the pail and drank it all," said Ryne White--Rawhide first baseman and cow-milking competitor.

Milk did the body good, as the Rawhide clinched their first win in the 3-game series against Bakersfield.
